One way to do this... (A helpful guide to character dumping)

Welcome to the Character Dump here at The PUBLIC DOMAIN!

This category is specifically for users to donate characters to The PUBLIC DOMAIN for all to use! Neat, huh?

Remember, once you've dumped your character off here, it's up for grabs by anyone and everyone, possibly finding itself multiple homes! If you want to change your mind at a later date and want to remove it permanently from The PUBLIC DOMAIN please note either me or one of the other Admins about your request and we will remove it from the site and continuity! However, if it is in use by another user when you want to remove it, it is alright for them to keep doing so, for at the time they picked it up, it didn't belong to anyone. So no suing, ya hear?

Right, enough legal garbage. Basically, there's no specific way to dump that is necessary for the board. One way doesn't mean it's gonna work for another. However, there are some things you COULD do to make it more reuseable...

things like:

Name, Characteristics (things it can do, likes, dislikes, personality traits, etc.), Personal History (what has it done, who does it hang out with, but any stories and worlds can be placed in the other categories..), and an Image if you have one... i love to draw so i'll most likely have an image attached to it (this saves time on having to describe the character in words).

Characters can be in their own threads or if they inhabit the same world or story they can go in the same thread. A package deal! keen!

The other end of all this is how do you start using the characters you find here... this part may be updated later when we see it in action, but for now simply post a reply stating that you are going to use the character and what you are going to use it for (rpg, comic, novel, play, movie, love...). This is just a way to keep track of how much traffic we get with certain characters, to see how characters are being used most often, and a way for legality can be tracked (if such ickiness ever occures).

I shall be putting up some of characters soon as example but please feel free to post any questions or concerns you might have and we'll try to work them out.
